Cemetery, Branch Meeting, Vacuum, Mowing, Job

Friday, 30 May
It's been so long since I posted so I'm going to start backwards from the last day I posted. Friday we decided to make a trip to Lake of the Ozarks. I was so excited cause that would be the first time all week that I was going to get out of the house. Nolan wanted to look for the grave of his great, great, great grandfather (I think that's how many greats it is). He knew where his great, great grandfather was buried up there but was not sure about the older one. We finally found the graveyard that he thought he was in after stopping at a local funeral home and asking. It was a large graveyard and we both walked through it and couldn't find a stone with his name on it. He may be there but we couldn't find it.....there were several marked graves but no stone with engraving on them. We were out most of the day and had a great time. We visited the grave of the great, great grandfather and took pictures. We ate out at the Happy Fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Once a month I have a branch meeting scheduled with the 20 home consultants that I have signed under me who sell Longaberger. Meeting started at 2:00 p.m. and I was ready by 1:00 p.m......that's a first, I'm usually rushing around at 1:30 trying to get everything finished. You know the house has to be cleaned and snacks have to be prepared......not counting the prep for the meeting itself. It's my job to provide as much encouragement and excitment as possible for them so they sell good during the next four weeks.....everything they sell, I profit from! We had an excellent meeting with 8 of the 20 attending (some live out of state and there are always conflicts of some sort). Eight attending was great!

A couple of days ago I burnt up the cord on my new vacuum, a canister Electrolux that I really like. Nolan thought maybe we might be able to find a vacuum repairman that might have some spare parts that he could fix it with.....he's a great fixer!!!! However, no luck, we went to the town of Lebanon and tried a couple of different places with no luck. Guess we'll have to call the 800 number and order a new part.

Wow! Our grass is growing like crazy. We can't even wait a week to mow it. So, I spent 3 hours riding around on the mower. Sure was hot!

Well, today was the day for my job interview at Wal Mart working part time. I hadn't been really happy about going to work again....but I was bored and felt like I needed to find something to do. Did not plan to stay at home all the time after I retired......I was planning to travel full time! So, I've been trying to figure out what I needed to do; and, an option was going to work at Wal Mart.....no stress, just a job. However, I didn't want to drive very far and I didn't want to work full time. This Wal Mart was only 20 miles away (the closest town of any kind with jobs) and if I was going to drive that far, I probably needed to work full time. I was just not crazy about the whole thing but I said OK to the interview. But, around 10:00, I talked myself out of it and called to cancel the interview. I then went up to the local convenience store (we do have one of those that I can actually see out my kitchen window). My best friend's parents own it and while I was in there, they asked me if I wanted to work a little, open on Sat and Sun. I'm so excited.....I will get out of the house and not have a full time job. The full time job was also putting the Branson rally trip in jeopardy so now that is all a go and I'm really getting excited about that also. Now that everything is all sorted out.....I'm going to start making a list of everything I need to take with me cause I'll be staying in one of the cabins with a fellow RV-Dreams friend. What fun!

I think that about updates everything that has been happening around here.
